What I Do

Let me introduce myself. I am Dr. Kate Lemmerman, MD, known to my patients as "Dr. Kate". I am board certified in Family Practice and licensed to practice acupuncture.

I have concentrated my expertise in two areas: hormonal issues and musculoskeletal problems. I treat many aspects of hormonal issues from thyroid problems to PMS to adrenal fatigue to menopause and andropause. I also treat chronic headaches, neck pain, back pain, and other pain issues with a combination of osteopathic manipulation, acupuncture and herbs, reserving medications for those problems not fully cleared with the above techniques.

For the past two years I have been affiliated with Steinmetz Medical Associates in Alexandria, Virginia, and left there in December 2009 in order to start my own practice in McLean, Virginia. While at Kaplan Clinic and again while I was at Steinmetz Medical Associates, I was cited in Washington Checkbook as being one of the area's top primary care providers.

What's New?

• I am starting a new medical practice called Well Being - Being Well in McLean, VA in February 2010. Dr. Adrienne Clamp will be my partner in this enterprise. She is a board certified family practice physician who also does acupuncture and has an expertise in hormonal issues as well as being a Reiki master. We are very excited about our new office and our ability to work as a team to bring optimal health to a variety of people with chronic medical issues.
